About Ares BJJ Omaha

WHAT TO EXPECT

What To Expect At Ares Omaha

Build self-esteem and gain real confidence

Training allows you to overcome mental obstacles by learning new things, simulating stress and challenging yourself to become the best version of yourself. Through the practice of Jiu-Jitsu, your confidence will grow and your life will begin to change.

Lose weight and get in amazing shape

Jiu-Jitsu is a great workout because it uses every part of your body. It's dynamic in nature and the full body workouts will shed the unwanted weight. Training is never boring and you feel great after leaving it all on the mats.

Jiu-Jitsu is for everyone and we encourage learning

It does not matter who you are outside the gym doors. When we are on the mats together, there is nothing but respect given. We support and challenge each other to learn and grow into the best version of themselves. Jiu-Jitsu brings everyone together.

Personal development like none other

Personal development is a major reason we are seeing the popularity and retention with Jiu-Jitsu. Through learning how to control your body, and by learning how to treat it right, you will develop a connection to your body, mind, and spirit. Through this connection, you'll be better prepared to take on life's challenges.

You will have fun!

Learn how to defend yourself, exercise your body and mind, surround yourself with good people and see the positive results. Imagine hanging out with friends, working up a sweat, listening to music, and not having to think about the stresses of life for a couple hours. In addition to this being a great workout, our positive vibe, amazing teammates and coaches create a place that you will want to return to over and over again.

OUR CULTURE

"At Ares BJJ Omaha, we provide a great environment to learn and develop as a Jiu-Jitsu practitioner. We have a positive team culture that encourages hard work, self-discipline and good vibes! Our classes will push you and your family beyond your physical limits and all the fun will keep you coming back for more. Whether you're a child, teen, or adult, learning Jiu-Jitsu increases fitness level, mental clarity, confidence, and sets the stage for a healthy lifestyle, both on and off the mat."

Really great folks there. Dropped in to train while travelling and had a great time. Really appreciate their kindness and hospitality. Fantastic instructors, friendly students. All ages of adults from 20s to 50s+. Super chill and welcoming environment. Saw the tail end of the kids class while waiting for adult class to start. Solid kids program. Will definitely be back the next time I'm in town. If you're looking for a place for you or your kids to train, 10/10 highly recommend. As a brown belt, if I lived here, this is where I would be training.

I started my jujitsu journey back in 2018 and was never consistent up through covid in 2020. Coach Ernesto always kept in touch and even though I'm older than him, he took the time to check in on me and let me know he was there, for life things not just jujitsu. My good friend Tony (early morning class tone setter) after 4 years of always throwing out that invite to come back… I finally took him up on it.… Last night I was awarded my Blue Belt along with other warriors I get to train with but Tony earned his Brown belt. God is good!!! Professor Flavio and his wife are amazing motivators and their talent supersedes any I've ever seen. This Team has become Family to me… it has filled that gap the Army left when I separated from military service. Hands down the best gym environment with superior Professors leading the way! Thx you Ares for all you do!!! Love y'all Fen

Great gym. I was in from out of town and they let me drop in with no mat fees. Super clean spot, with really nice people. Also I got rolled up pretty handedly, that means their Jits is good as well. Will be back next time I'm in Omaha.

No doubt one of the best gyms I've been to. The people are genuine, kind, and truly care about getting you involved in this awesome sport. No matter your experience, Ares BJJ has something for you. If you're nervous or anxious to get into any kind of martial art, Ares is the place to start!

Couldn't ask for anything better! My son wanted to try it out and he's learned a ton in the short time he's been there. The team is great with kids and walks through everything so the kids understand what is being asked. To top it off they are all very friendly! There is an adult class after the kids and they all seem to be excited for class to start as well. Overall it's a really great place!

I'm a brown belt and visited Omaha for about a month and a half. I trained at Ares multiple times during my stay. Very welcoming environment from both the instructors and the students. I would recommend Ares BJJ Omaha to anyone in the area that is looking to train regardless of if you are a beginner or a seasoned practitioner.
